I live in New York City and I'm surrounded by books all day and when I go home I have more books waiting for me. Read my "About" page on top to see what I mean. I just want to share my book experiences and my love of all-things-books, with hopefully the occasional review thrown in. If you wish to contact me, the address is polishoutlanderATgmailDOTcom

Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill atĀ Breaking the Spine.

My pick for the week is:

Coming March 2010

A sweeping triumph: The Creation of Eve is based on the true but little-known story of Sofonisba Anguissola, the first renowned female portraitist of the Renaissance. After a scandal in Michelangelo’s workshop, Sofonisba flees Italy and joins the Spanish court of King Felipe II to be a lady-in-waiting to his young bride. Sofonisba befriends the queen, only to become embroiled in a love triangle involving the queen, the king, and the king’s illegitimate half brother, Don Juan. The Creation of Eve combines art, romance, and history from the golden age in Spain in a story that asks the question: Can you ever truly know another person’s heart?

I know, I know. All the books I have been featuring of late have been historical fiction but it is so hard to resist especially when it’s something so different from the Tudors and Queen Elizabeth and Anne Boleyn! :) Mind you, I love readingĀ  about that too. I just need something with a change of timeline-pace. And it has a lovely cover to go with it too!
