I live in New York City and I'm surrounded by books all day and when I go home I have more books waiting for me. Read my "About" page on top to see what I mean. I just want to share my book experiences and my love of all-things-books, with hopefully the occasional review thrown in. If you wish to contact me, the address is polishoutlanderATgmailDOTcom

Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

My pick this week is Green Witch by Alice Hoffman (March 2010, Scholastic)

I have been unable to find a cover for this, but this is the sequel to her Green Angel. Here’s the info that I do know already:

From Alice Hoffman’s interview at Goodreads: “I’ve been working on a sequel—which I’ve never done before—to my teen book, Green Angel. It is called Green Witch, and it will be out in March 2010. I had a lot of letters from people who didn’t think the story was over, and I realized that it wasn’t over for me either. I didn’t know if I could do it—if I could be back in that world with that character—and it worked out. It was really fun for me to do.”

Summary that I found online: A year after her world was nearly destroyed, sixteen-year-old Green has become the one villagers turn to for aid, especially to record their stories, but Green will need the help of other women who, like herself, are believed to be witches if she is to find her best friend and her one true love.

I can’t wait for this to come out. Green Angel was such a beautiful book to read.

What was your pick?
