My Sunfire Romance Reading Challenge
Recently, I was looking at one my bookcases and admiring all of the Sunfire romance books I have, and thought, “I should get around to reading them one day.”
These books are out-of-print and the only way I was able to get all the books was through used bookstores (mainly The Strand), library book sales, AbeBooks, PaperBackSwap and eBay. I had read a few of them when I was only a kid, in the 90s, and the one that I distinctly remember is Nicole, which took place on the Titanic (I had read it way before the movie ever came out, and was obsessed with anything-Titanic way before that). I even remember, the summer that I had read them, I had my childhood friend read a few as well and when we went on vacation to Maine with my parents, we insisted on calling each other by the Sunfire names. So naturally, I wanted to be called Nicole, but I can’t remember for the life of me what name my friend chose.
So, I’ve been thinking: why not try to read all the Sunfire books next year? Some of them aren’t even that long, and it would be interesting to read them as an adult.
So, this is me challenging myself to read ALL the books. Maybe I’ll make a button for it as well, as other people do when they host reading challenges.
